Valentines Day is the most romantic of days. Gifts should be unnecessary! Simply spending time with your honey is all that is required. Of course if for some reason you must be separated you can think sweet warm thoughts and look forward to eventually being back together.

However tradition has it that we give gifts, and gifts can be a great way to help start or rekindle a relationship, as well as wonderful when you must be apart.

A Valentines Gift is simply a way to say I love you, I care about you, and I'm thinking of you.

The top on your list should be spending time together! Sometimes with schedules and all, this can be difficult, but time together is critically important in any romance.

Why not put romance on your schedules, in the form of a trip together??

How about a cruise or escorted trip so you can concentrate on each other while having fun? For example, Friendly Planet has affordable first class tours to exotic destinations.

Or maybe just a quick trip away, whether a night or weekend or more? Priceline has some great deals on last minute getaways, whether you just need a good hotel, plane tickets, or more. Even a day trip is wonderful time together!

What could be more romantic than spending time together?

Flowers works Wonders in kindling or rekindling romance, and everyone loves flowers.

Long stemmed red roses are traditional and wonderful, but any flowers you like are romantic. Feel free to be creative!

I prefer mixed bouquets most of the time, and like having multiple colors,  but it's up to you.

I usually buy flowers online and have them delivered for an extra surprise!

And ladies, you can sometimes wow men with flowers. I'll bet no one else has bought them flowers before!

Chocolates, fruits, and gift baskets, often combining both, are also very popular. Oftentimes Gift Baskets containing these are just the perfect thing!

Chocolate is very popular for women (and men like it too), but I prefer fruit as a gift that really stands out.

I'm a big fan of Hale Groves fruits. I had a friend from Vero Beach, Florida, who turned me on to them.

I got some of their oranges and grapefruits recently and am enjoying them greatly.

Also their fruit of the month club is great - I signed my honey up last Valentine's Day and it made a great impression and delicious impression!

An other idea is some intimate wear.

An of course you can be creative. Anything thoughtful is a great Valentines gift!

One last thought for romance! Add a wonderful bottle of Champagne. You can go all out and get a Vintage Champagne but an affordable bottle of Non Vintage is also awesome and romantic as well!
